  • Company: TxtCart (Shopify SMS Marketing SaaS)
  • Job Type: Full-Time

About TxtCart:

TxtCart is a high-growth, bootstrapped SaaS company focused on helping Shopify brands drive revenue through AI-powered SMS marketing. With $2.2M+ ARR and ambitious growth plans, we’re building the future of conversational commerce—and we’re looking for a technically fluent Product Manager to help lead the charge.

The Role:

As our Head of Product, you’ll be the architect of our SMS marketing platform’s future, sitting at the critical intersection of product vision, engineering execution, and business growth. You’ll work closely with our lean but mighty team of 2 full-time developers and CTO to transform big ideas into practical, user-facing features that drive real results for our customers.

You’ll command the entire product lifecycle while maintaining our bootstrapped efficiency—leading sprint planning, feature delivery, and release cycles with a bias toward continuous deployment. In this role, you’ll turn product concepts into impactful solutions that redefine how businesses connect with their customers through SMS, all while fostering the entrepreneurial spirit that drives our growing SaaS company.

This is where strategic product thinking meets hands-on execution, powered by close collaboration with engineering and a relentless focus on features that move the needle for our users and business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Talk to customers, own the product. Build deep connections with SMS marketers to truly understand their needs—customer empathy is your secret weapon for driving product decisions.
  • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle from customer insight to market impact, translating business needs into user stories, technical specs, and shipped features that move the needle.
  • Lead tactical execution by running sprint planning, daily standups, and retros in Jira while managing our lean development process with our 2-person dev team and CTO.
  • Prioritize the backlog and manage sprint velocity and burn-down to ensure consistent delivery cadence and predictable feature releases.
  • Perform QA, smoke testing, and bug triage for each release to maintain quality standards before features hit production.
  • Coordinate with CTO to ensure architecture and design are aligned with product vision and long-term technical strategy.
  • Maintain rapid deployment cycles with our bias toward continuous delivery—target bug free, clean code that maintains design intent and misses no AC ready to deploy to prod
  • Embrace dogfooding by regularly using our SMS marketing platform yourself, ensuring you experience firsthand what our customers go through.
  • Make data-driven decisions grounded in customer insights, using rapid prototyping and AI tools to iterate swiftly and address any technical limitations effectively.
  • Maintain sky-high standards while ensuring timely product launches, balancing quality with our bootstrapped need for efficient execution.

Tech Stack You'll Be Working With:

  • Frontend: React.js
  • Backend: Node.js / Express.js
  • Database: MongoDB Atlas
  • Cloud Infrastructure: AWS
  • Web Server: NGINX
  • AI: Bedrock / Claude (Anthropic)

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3+ years experience in a Product Manager or Technical Project Manager role
  • Strong familiarity with modern web dev stacks (React, Node, APIs, MongoDB, etc.)
  • Experience working directly with developers and technical stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Jira, sprint management, backlog grooming, and Agile workflows
  • Comfort performing QA, testing, and pushing to production
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bias toward speed, iteration, and outcomes over process
  • Demonstrated impact in past roles, with dedication to customer obsession and core product principles.
  • Proficiency with AI tools like Cursor and Claude Code, and familiarity with GitHub and Figma.

Bonus Points:

  • Prior experience at a SaaS startup or Shopify ecosystem company
  • Ability to write light code or read PRs for basic technical understanding
  • Familiarity with SMS, email, or marketing automation platforms

Perks & Culture:

  • Fully remote with async flexibility
  • Work directly with the CEO, CTO, and founding team
  • Real ownership in a lean, profitable, fast-moving SaaS company
  • Flat structure with fast decision-making and zero red tape
