About TxtCart

TxtCart is an AI-native SMS marketing platform built exclusively for Shopify merchants. We help DTC brands recover abandoned carts, drive repeat purchases, and run intelligent SMS campaigns through a conversational AI Agent that talks like a real person.

We’re bootstrapped, profitable, and growing fast: around $4M ARR, 1,200+ paying merchants, and a small async-first team operating remotely. Partnerships is our second engine alongside paid and organic, a durable, compounding source of customers that a competitor can’t simply outbid, and affiliates and influencers are its highest-volume channel.

The Role

You’re going to own the affiliate and influencer channel at TxtCart. This channel used to be one of three things our Head of Partnerships (Sun) ran alongside tech partners and agencies; it has grown enough that it needs a dedicated, full-time owner. Sun keeps tech and agency partnerships. You own affiliates and influencers end to end, from a wide-net roster and rate card to the self-serve portal experience affiliates actually use day to day.

This is a builder seat, not a manager seat. You’ll work directly with Sun and have real visibility with Kyle (CEO), execute personally, and lean on AI and automation to scale your output rather than headcount.

What You’ll Own

Sourcing & recruiting (35-40%)

  • Wide-net affiliate and influencer sourcing across YouTube, TikTok, course sellers, community leaders, and ecom influencers
  • Outreach at volume, using AI to build lists and personalize at scale
  • Qualifying prospects by ICP fit, not follower count
  • Onboarding new affiliates into the program and into ClickUp

Enablement & the affiliate portal (25-30%)

  • Briefing and scripting affiliates to the product-led, problem-first standard (never influencer-style content)
  • Evaluating and running affiliate software (Refersion, PartnerStack, Impact, or similar) built around a great self-serve experience for the affiliates themselves, not just our internal reporting view
  • Keeping brand assets, product videos, ready-to-share messaging, upcoming promotions, and campaign examples current and instantly accessible to the roster
  • Being the direct point of contact affiliates can book time with

Program & payouts (20-25%)

  • Owning the rate card: CPA, rev-share, or hybrid terms, benchmarked against paid CAC
  • Tracking link and discount code management
  • Declining-CPM view bonus structure for video partners
  • Payout coordination and accuracy

Reporting & roster management (15-20%)

  • Tracking, ranking, and managing the active roster in ClickUp
  • Cohort-based performance reporting (affiliate-sourced revenue, installs, CPA vs. paid CAC)
  • Weekly roster review with Sun; monthly channel readout to Sun and Kyle
  • Coordinating with Brand & Community and Marketing when a creator is a UGC fit instead of an affiliate fit

First 90 Days

By day 30

  • Existing affiliate roster and ClickUp records inherited cleanly from Sun
  • Rate card and CPA benchmark confirmed with Sun and Kyle
  • First outreach wave live across at least two affiliate archetypes
  • First briefs shipped to the product-led, problem-first standard

By day 60

  • Affiliate portal/dashboard tooling evaluated against a self-serve-first bar, with a recommendation made
  • Roster growing on a wide net, with early performance data coming in
  • First documented winning creator or hook

By day 90

  • Cohort-based reporting running cleanly (accounting for the ~60-day attribution lag)
  • Affiliate Manager proposing rate card and sourcing calls, with Sun validating rather than directing
  • A clear view of which affiliates are producing and which should be cut

Success Metrics

6 months in

  • Affiliate-sourced paying customers and revenue growing month over month
  • Affiliate CPA at or better than paid CAC (~$142) on a cohort basis
  • A self-serve affiliate portal live and adopted by the active roster

12 months in

  • Affiliate-sourced revenue a measurably growing share of new business
  • A producing roster with a shrinking share of non-converting affiliates
  • The Affiliate Manager running the rate card and sourcing independently, escalating only exceptions

What We’re Looking For

Must-haves

  • 2-4+ years running an affiliate, influencer, or partner program at a DTC/eCommerce or B2B SaaS company
  • Direct experience with affiliate platforms (Refersion, PartnerStack, Impact, Tapfiliate, or similar) and rate card / CPA design
  • Comfort reading cohort data and holding a channel to a CAC benchmark, not just a signup count
  • Understands the difference between affiliate (product-led) and UGC (person-forward) content, and can brief to each correctly
  • Self-directed operator who sources, briefs, and manages relationships personally
  • Comfortable working async and remote, with high written communication standards

Nice to haves

  • Existing relationships with YouTube or TikTok creators in the Shopify/DTC/ecom space
  • Experience standing up an affiliate portal or resource hub from scratch
  • Background in SMS marketing, CRO, retention, or DTC tooling
  • Familiarity with Shopify App Store dynamics and merchant acquisition economics

Compensation and Structure

  • Contractor engagement, ~30-40 hours per week
  • Remote, with meaningful overlap with US working hours for weekly syncs with Sun and Kyle
  • Reports to Sun (Head of Partnerships); Kyle stays closely involved given the channel’s revenue weight
  • 90-day review with potential for expanded scope, compensation increase, or full-time conversion based on channel performance

How to Apply

Send the following to kyle@txtcart.ai with the subject line “Affiliate Manager — [Your Name]”:

  • A summary of an affiliate or partner program you’ve run, including the rate card and the results
  • Your LinkedIn profile
  • Two sentences on why this role and why now

We review every application personally. If you’ve built or improved an affiliate self-serve experience before, lead with that.
