About TxtCart:

We’re now hiring a Business Development Representative (BDR) to help fill the top of our funnel and drive pipeline growth across SMB and mid-market ecommerce brands. You’ll be one of the first sales development hires and play a key role in testing, optimizing, and scaling our outbound strategy.

The Role:

As a BDR, you’ll be responsible for identifying, engaging, and qualifying Shopify merchants who would benefit from TxtCart. You’ll use a mix of outbound email, social touches (LinkedIn/X), and tools like Apollo or LeadIQ to build lists, run cadences, and book qualified demos for our sales team.

This is a high-activity, high-ownership role that’s perfect for someone who wants to grow into an AE track while working closely with our Head of Sales and marketing team.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and research target ecommerce brands (Shopify, DTC, agency-connected)
  • Execute outbound campaigns across email, social, and cold messaging
  • Write and test outreach copy across different merchant profiles
  • Book qualified demos for the AE team and track outreach activity in CRM
  • Assist with list building, segmentation, and contact enrichment
  • Collaborate with marketing on campaign alignment and messaging
  • Maintain clean, up-to-date records in Salesforce (or equivalent CRM)
  • Share feedback on outreach performance, objections, and persona pain points

What We're Looking For:

  • 1–2+ years experience in a BDR/SDR or sales support role (SaaS preferred)
  • Excellent written communication and copywriting instincts
  • Self-starter with strong time management and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working in a metrics-driven, fast-paced startup environment
  • Familiarity with tools like Apollo, LeadIQ, Wappalyzer, and Salesforce
  • Bonus if you’ve sold to ecommerce, DTC, or Shopify merchants
  • Bonus if you’re looking to grow into an AE role long-term
